The New York Black Doll and Craft Show held on July 25, 2009 at the Riverside Church in New York City was truly a great event. Attracting an estimated 350 black doll enthusiasts and collectors from the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut Tri-State region, show goers were treated to a variety of art, play line, porcelain, cloth, reborn and antique dolls.

Doll artists and speciality retailers travelled from Virginia through Massachusetts to wow audiences with dolls so spectacular that one show goer referred to them as "shockingly beautiful!"

"The unifying spirit of our patrons and exhibitors repeated expressed itself through smiles and hugs," said Sharon Alexander, co-founder of BlackDollShows.Com.
"This helped to facilitate commerce for our exhibitors and take-home treasures for the hundreds of doll enthusiasts and collectors that attended the show. A show that is only one of many yet to come not only to the New York tri-state region but across the United States!"
