The 3rd Doll Time international doll show drew exhibitors from all over the world to this wonderful city known as the "Venice of the north". Find out more about one of Russias largest doll shows by reading on in this Colliii exclusive.

This years "Doll time" show saw more than double the amount of exhibtors coming to display their doll art in these wonderful surroundings.

Visitors from Italy included Elisa Gallea, Annalisa Venturini and Laura Scattolini zugegen. German doll artists that were present included Gerlinde Fezer,  Doris Stannat and Siu Ling Wang. Apart from the numerous Russian doll artists, doll makers from Switzerland, Lithuania, Canada, Azerbadjan, Ukraine and many other nations were there. 

The show ran from the 11th-14th of June and was set in 5 halls covering more than 1000m². Outside the convention center was a themed competition with dolls honoring the ledgendary Russian monarch "Tsar Peter the Great".
2 workshops were organised and over 200 guests took part in those multi-cultural events which were run by doll artists from around the world.

The displays included all kinds of dolls ranging from traditional Russian dolls to antique dolls, minitures, doll houses, fashion dolls and more.

The centerpiece of the show was the presentation in the main exhibition hall from Russian doll artist Alexander Zinchenko and was titled "4by4"

 

One of the highlights of the Doll time show was the wonderful ball which was held in one of the palaces in St Petersburg. Guests were then taught several traditional dances and the whole evenings theme was again that of Russian Emperor "Peter the Great"

Over 8000 made the journey to the show and the majority commented that it was a truly unique experience.

The next "Doll time" show is already planned for this year and will take place from the 17th-21st of December.
