The 7th Discover dolls show was held at the Holiday Inn hotel in Peterborough (UK) last weekend.
The show is organised by Discover Dolls publisher Cathy Read and has grown over the years to become the largest doll show in the UK.
The show is normally held twice a year, in June and in October and hundreds of visitors came to see the 64 exhibitors.
The international flavour of the show has also increased with guests from abroad including Elly Knoops from Holland, Maribel Villanova from Spain as well as Huti Babies and Gabriela Gomez Macal from Mexico.
One of the stars of the show was the proto-type of Ros Johnson and Real Effects new doll kit "Olivia" reborned by Ruth Annette. The kit is set for release in the summer of 2010.
Doors to the show opened at 9am and the show ran on both days until 4.40pm.
The exhibition rooms were briefly evacuated on the Sunday due to a fire alarm, but no dolls or people were hurt, and many of the female visitors enjoyed both the sunshine outside and the fireman on the inside.
The next show is set for the 8th of August and will be held in Manchester at the Hallmark hotel. Further info can be obtained over the official website through this link
We would like to thank Ros Johnson for her photos and we wish her all the best with her upcoming doll kit from Real Effect, baby Olivia!
