According to new rules a mix of racial dolls should be used for children to play with in the day care centres of Colorado USA.

Many critics have taken to blogs and forums to voice their disbelief over the three race dolls proposal.

One blogger commented:

"'What about disabled dolls, transgender dolls, deformed or elderly dolls? If they really want to include everything why not these?"

Another commented:

"'Many studies have found in the past that most children always pick up the white doll anyway and rarely notice the different races."

A very interesting video has been published on Youtube showing children picking between black and white dolls. The majority of the children picked the white dolls commenting that the nice dolls were white. The video can be seen below
